Okina Otogi (御十義翁 Otogi Okina) is the head doctor at Nanba Prison.
Appearance
Okina is an older man with noticeable wrinkles and a slightly gaunt face. He has grey hair tied up loosely, with long bangs parted to the right
. A long, thing beard hangs from the middle of his chin, with stubble lining his jaw. Long, thin, grey eyebrows in an almost constant scowl sit atop his brow.
Okina wears a simple, white lab coat, with plain khaki, two button romper. A red armband with a white heart wraps around his left bicep. His name tag is pinned to the left side of his lab coat.
He wears a pair of plain, black flip-flaps; exposing his black painted toenails.
Okina also wears a pair red cross earrings on both ears, in reference to his job as a doctor. Two small grey earrings decorate both earlobes, higher up; giving him a total of six piercings.
He is also rarely seen without his kiseru (Japanese smoking pipe).
Personality
Okina is very blunt. Most would consider him "cranky".

- His name "Okina" means "old man". "O" in his surname means "drive" or "manage", "to" means "ten" and "gi" means "right conduct/righteousness" and "justice".
- His name is taken from Taketori no Okina the adopted father of Kaguya Hime from The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, sharing his name "Okina".
- His hobbies include performing surgery and consultation.
